for somone just getting credit established, which credit card company is best to use?
- chase. we have had others and have been happiest with chase. through the years we have had great offers, zero percent on cars from them and stuff. we always check with them first when purchasing homes, cars, etc. no citibank. we had a bad experience with them not closing the account when we paid it off. man, we had to get rude with them to get them to officially close it. it was a pain in the you know what. good luck to you! and a big thank you and god bless you to your hubby in iraq! come home soon and come home safe!
- Chase is the best i think so but you can make some search on yahoo and google to find some others and there may be some better one you can get. To know more you can visit creditcardbiz. blogspot.com and onlinepaymentoption. blogspot.com
- wells fargo is the best
- I started out with Capital One my freshman year in college. I still have the same credit card company. I have been pretty happy with their service and I only use it for emergencies
- It doesn't matter which cc co. you start with. What matters is what you do with the credit that you get. First off, pull a copy of each of your reports from each of the three bureaus. Check them for accuracy and dispute anything that is wrong. Pay off anything that is outstanding. That will show that, though you may have been irresponsible in the past, you have since turned over a new leaf. Next, apply for only one card apiece no more frequently than every three months. You do not want to look desparate. If you co - sign each other's cards, that will be an inquiry on each of your credit reports. Keep that in mind. When you have one card, make sure that you pay the balance in full every single month. Show them that you are dependable and you do not overspend. When your good credit use can be seen on your credit report for several months in a row, then feel free to try for another one. Building credit takes time and too much too fast will put up red flags. Credit cards, sadly, do seem to be the best way to build your credit. Loans are tricky and they actually lower your credit score when you first take them out because cc companies and other lenders know that a loan is a higher priority. especially if it is for a house or car. If you are thinking about having a friend or relative add you to their credit, make sure they are someone you trust. Their poor spending or payment habits will affect you. Again, and to pointedly answer your question, it doesn't matter whether you start out with mastercard or visa. They are all the same. Lenders do not care about where your credit came from, they only care about what you did with it once you got it
- I started out with Clout Visa right after high school. Its pretty easy to get I had no credit before that Capital one is also good
- If you have bad credit, the odds of you getting a credit card through a bank is really low. Your best bet to get approved for a unsecured or secured credit card is to use a credit card company. I have listed a source below that has a free list for consumers of credit card companies that issue credit to people with bad to no credit, plus the site contains some good advice on improving your credit score. Be careful, get home safe. and Good Luck
- After you choose between Mastercard and Visa, you have to choose a bank who issues them. I would not stress too much about 'Visa vs. Mastercard' since they're both accepted pretty much everywhere. To find a complete list of credit cards to help build your credit, visit: asapcreditcard.com / unsecured - offers.html I would recommend the Orchard Bank Platinum Mastercard. It's a very compe ive offer - plus, Orchard will consider you for multiple offers with 1 application. This means you will only have 1 inquiry on your credit report too many inquiries can reduce your credit score. Hope the helps. GOOD LUCK! PS: Tell your 'hubby' thanks!
- If you have really crappy credit, then you will not qualify for a chase card, I already tried. Can he get a star card from the military? I went and got an orchard bank card, it's the best card for crappy credit, and it may cost a little, it depends on how bad your credit is. orchardbank.com
- When establishing credit, the easiest thing to do is get a relative who already has a credit card to add you. If this is not a possibility, check with your personal bank about their credit card offered. Lastly, most companies offer a card for newly establishing credit. Often you will get "pre - approved offers" for these cards as most issuers only allow a certain percent of these in their portfolio. When receiving these, read the terms carefully! Some are very good with a small annual fee. Others charge more fees to initiate than the credit line you are igned. I hope this helps! P. S. Wells fargo does have a credit card. This person was just giving their opinion on a particular company
